My apologies for the long silence! I (Andy) recently returned from a two-week missions trip to Port-au-Prince, Haiti with a group of 24 from the Westgate Church in Weston, MA. We ran VBS and meal programs in a church in central Port-au-Prince and a church in Cite Soleil (the slums), and we poured a cement roof on a new church building.

About 200 kids in Cite Soleil came each day to hear Bible stories and the Gospel, play games, and receive a hot meal.

I had some wonderful opportunities to share the Gospel, share my testimony, give juggling shows, and love the kids there. As we prepare to immerse ourselves in a new(ish) language, it’s a great comfort to know that God’s love can transcend language and all other barriers. In fact, nothing can separate us — and the scores of kids in Haiti who asked Jesus to be their Savior — from that love. Cool stuff.
