Well, I have officially outdone myself. During what might have been the most interesting month of my time here, I have failed my loyal blog-checkers by neglecting my blogging responsibilites. But, let me get you updated. Stunner left in the beginnig of June, so I have been busy helping pick up the slack in the team.
The first week of June me, Mike, Sean, and the rest of the team prepared to host a summer of short term teams. We installed toliets, almost got electricuted installing ceiling fans, and prepared food for the upcoming teams. However, we still managed to find free time on our hands, and when the internet was out for a whole day, me and Mike resorted to taking pictures of ourselves using our macbooks haha.
Our first team arrived on June 14th, and we were able to build a house for a man whose house had been badly damaged by the earthquake.
Here is a picture of the almost-finished 2 room house:
here is a video of the complete construction of the house:

Im other news, as most of you probably already know, there has been what some have been calling an “military coup” in the country of Honduras. They are reporting that this was a military coup designed to remive control from a democratically-elected president; this is NOT what has happened.
The president has been arrested by the military and has been exiled to Costa Rica, and a new president has been sworn in. But on Saturday the Supreme Court of Hondras voted unanimously 5-0 to arrest the president and remove hom from office, for many Constitutional violations. This “military coup” is actually a peaceful and legal implementation of the democratic process.
While La Ceiba remains calm, there has been many protests in the capital city of Tegucigalpa. A nation-wide curfew restricts residents from leaving their homes between 9pm and 6am.
Zelaya is vowing to return Thursday, so please be praying for the safety and tranquility of this country. Praise be to God that Honduras–the 2nd poorest country in Central America, did not succumb to a tyrannical leader who tried to topple democracy and peace in this already unstable nation.

That's right. The three of us -- Josh Bolton, Jamie Jacobsen, and Andy Stuntz -- are delaying college for a year to serve as missionary interns in La Ceiba, Honduras. We'll be helping two new missionary families as they plant a church, start a medical clinic, and reach out to street kids. Mostly though, we want to be vulnerable and to experience and share the power and hope of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. That's where it's at, and that's where we want to be. Join us as we slowly learn what in the world that means!
