So you’re probably thinking Who are these nut jobs? We’re not sure either, but maybe a little background will help…

Jamie Jacobsen

Jamie intends to become a fighter jet pilot (ha) and a teacher somewhere in Africa. Somehow. For now she’s allowing her love of Spanish and Latin American culture, her interest in church planting, and her thirst for adventure to take her on a bit of a detour. Jamie moved several times throughout her childhood, but managed to stay put in Lexington, MA with her older sister, younger brother, and parents for all of high school. She’s a fierce competitor (especially basketball), a natural leader… and looks forward to learning some gentleness!

Josh Bolton

Josh’s short-term missions trip to Panama left him eager to return to Latin America. He lives in Methuen, MA with two sisters and his parents and spends his time playing various sports (soccer, bball, lacrosse…), picking up new guitar songs, and frying eggs in bacon grease. He’s easy-going, outgoing, and can’t wait for the bittersweetness of Spanish immersion…

Andy

Andy lives in Belmont, MA with awesome older siblings Sam and Sarah and his amazing parents. Easily amused, he enjoys reading, running, knitting, writing, discussing theology, singing, playing a little guitar, and ESPECIALLY juggling. He’ll probably still enjoy them all in La Ceiba. He traveled with a short-term team from his church (Christ the King Presbyterian in Cambridge) to Pretoria, South Africa last summer. He’ll be traveling with a group to Haiti for two weeks THIS summer to help run two VBS programs in Port-au-Prince. He benefits spiritually from vulnerable and clueless — things he’s fortunately sure to feel often in the coming year!

  4. Jamie,
Your blog is soo cool. It looks like you are having fun in Honduras. I’m sure you’re learning a lot and helping a lot too. Praise God for young hearts that are strong and willing like yours and your travel mates’. Thank you for your work advancing the kingdom of Christ. I try to do the same here where I am planted but I know you will be so blessed for “going” to do God’s work.
Love you cousin! We’re praying for you!
    Amy

  5. How long are you three going to be in Honduras? I’m making a trip in May with a group from our church, thought if I’m close maybe we might get together.

    Travis from Costa Rica

  6. Its wonderful to see that there are young people that are still willing to serve and work for God no matter what!

Youre doing a great job! May the good Lord bless you!
    Delonie (Honduras)
